This is my first day of traveling. I flew in Friday and spent the afternoon teaching myself how to drive a standard transmission, relaxing, and getting provisions. Saturday morning I got up incredibly early and headed out the coast. I spent the afternoon walking and sleeping on this beach.

I love the zoom lense on the Mavica. I was a long way away.

This would have been a great place to camp for the night, but for some reason they don't let you. Instead of an evening walking on the beach I spent the next few hours searching for a place to campy. That's okay, I loved the place I found.

After discovering that all of the costal campgrounds were full, I headed into the mountains. I spent the next two days walking, hiking, driving, and camping in the Suisilaw National Forest. Forest service roads are a ton of fun. Hundreds of miles of roads, no people, and breathtaking views around every corner.

The trail I embarked on. I spent the better part of a day hiking on these sorts of trails. I would walk a few miles through the woods, and then I would pop out to a marvelous overlook. (Like the last picture)
